>Replace batteries by removing the battery compartment with a phillps head screw. Pull black ribbon to remove old batteries and dispose of them. Use fresh AG13 or LR44 batteries after resetting the black ribbon in it's initial spot. Close battery compartment case and tighten secure with screw.
Well, I guess it's the thought that counts. I don't think we get instructions with dolls nowadays.
