>>9994461Honestly as an artist I have so much sympathy for people working in movie industries like this. Concept artists are basically at the mercy of what producers and executives want. You were never going to have the image on the right because they were explicitly going to want something not like the 90s movie look. Look at someone like Josh Nizzi who did a bunch of Transformers desings; Prime 1 did a line of statues of G1 inspired movie designs he made. Yet he was also behind a lot of the bigger redesigns like Optimus' look in Age of extinction and he's proud of that too. As an artist you need to stand by your work no matter what; its a competitive field and no one will hire an artist who says they suck.

And really though, the nostrils are hardly the most egregious part. More detailed TMNT designs have had nostrils since the 80s.
