They actually do it right in a big way and can splay out instead of having four fingers going rigidly parallel, but the index finger is permanantly at that angle, which makes it hard to hold guns. The "chest" of the little shockwave the included really gets in the way there. Also, they have very little range at the first knuckle, so he can't make a normal fist.
Wrist wise, blastoff is fine, but vortex's hand is overcomplicated and likes to come off. The wrist swivels are the usual iron factory elder-god level tight, so you've gotta really grip everything at the same time to avoid them coming off.
