It is not "girly" enough, not "fashion" focused and too hard fantasy. Thats why you still have to give kudos to the creators that they tried to mix action figures with fashion, some sort of fashion changing, horses and hair combing gimmick.
In my opinion if you reboot it, it needs heavy story focus. Maybe make it more esotheric and astrological.
