>>10441943The classic Star-Lord stories are pretty cool as is the 90s miniseries, which was written by Tim Zahn of Thrawn acclaim. They're very classic science fiction. I'm a also a big fan of Guardians 3000 which took the conceit of the Valentino run (the Marvel Universe in the thirtieth century) and made it a gritty sci-fi war setting in the vein of Abnett's 40k work. It was sadly cut short but it made a big impression in the brief time it lived. Abnett of course is one half of the DnA duo that penned the Guardians reboot starring Star-Lord et al.
The new Moondragon will also make a good companion for the Genis figure from the Captain Marvel wave. That particular costume comes from the end of PAD's Captain Marvel which I highly recommend. Drax was a recurring character in the first half though Genis and Moondragon had different costumes.
