>>7239510>I'll never understand the American obsession with nostalgia and trying to drag long dead franchises out of the grave and dressing it up in messy rags. Sometimes it's okay to let things be and move onto newer and better things. I swear europeans and asians don't have nearly the same obsession. That's because your countries don't allow you to be nostalgic of the "better times", because you guys were beating the shit out of each other and rebuilding your war torn countries up until the 60s, 70s, and 80s, instead of living high class, high end leisure time that came from living in a first world modern country that was safe from wars.
Besides, what media do you guys even have to be nostalgic about? At least Japan has their 32409342 sentai series and their 324234th remake of Starblazers/Astroboy/MegaMan/Mario/Zelda/FinalFantasy/genericschoolgirlanimeclone#324342.
Europe has... what? Mr Bean? Dr Who? ... is there anything from France, Germany, or any other place that has popular media? I mean, Maya the Bee counts, right?
Whereas America has a million things to be nostalgic about in media alone. They can be nostalgic about the bad historical times too, like cowboy games/tv where it was about killing indians. Can't do that shit with Nazi stuff.
