His gun can be mounted to his car roof, but since the storage slot from his robot mode ends up right on his back, you can also plug it in there for a more streamlined looking car.
While I like the futuristic greebling details all over him, like with his robot mode, it's pretty clear there was supposed to be a lot more paint here. What the hell happened to the budget?
