Absolute newbie starting from scratch here. I read the guide and now I'm gathering materials, I hope you'll be so kind as to help me out. I've got this in my cart at Hobby Wave. I know I'm going to need a pair of Nippers, maybe an Exacto knife+mat and some sandpaper, but I've got questions.
1. Is there any reason not to grab a cheap pair of nippers or even cuticle cutters? They all seem to have the same setup and the modelling ones all start at $13 or so.
2. HW has some cloth sheets they advertise that supposedly don't clog which sounds neat, but are they decent? Would I be as well off with some wet/dry sandpaper?
3. Topcoating: wise to do on the first time? Y/N? I don't expect perfection, but if I'm likely to screw up badly I'd rather not.
4. Would I be better off picking up any of this stuff locally rather than ordering it?
