>>10413141Building your army hits different than building a Gundam kit. Maybe it's different once you hit a higher tier, as all I've built is a Leo kit that was $15 at hobby lobby (or was it Michaels?), But building your army feels a lot more personal, especially once you get a bunch of kits and mix them up a lot more. And the end result of having an army of dudes is really unique. I love my swarm of termagants, and I can't wait to get them up from my current 48 to over double! I have over 100 space Marines, and that number steadily rises with each new kit.
It could also be that I don't like the hollow and frail feel of model kits, because I like the feel of sturdy toys, hence my affinity for the joytoy line, and tiny static soldiers appeals to me more than what Gundam offers (it's probably that).
