>>9120966I gave the image a once-over and thought that was iffy too at first. Perceptor's a little.. quirky, you'd normally be right to say that stuff like "he's been ostracized for his intellect and autism" would be just projection or fanon...
BUT
there was one (1) episode that sort of made me kinda get it. Skimming it now. Microbots had Brawn sort of demean Perceptor for doing just science and not fighting or being at the battlefield, saying he lacks courage. Bumblebee defends Perceptor and is ready to tussle, but Prime comes and tells them to knock it off. Etc etc the pair and Bee are inside Megatron, Brawn keeps telling Perceptor off (but did rescue him once), Perceptor's still not upset and stops Brawn from making terrible violent decisions. (Bumblebee says "excuse us" to a surprised Megatron AS THEY'RE LEAVING HIS BODY AND RETURNING TO NORMAL SIZE) The macguffin from Megatron's body's gonna explode, Brawn throws it, Perceptor tracks it and blows it up in the atmosphere.
End:
>Ratchet: Do you realize that we just saved Megatron's life?>Brawn: Somebody saved all our lives.>Prime: Who, Brawn?>Brawn: Ask my buddy here about it. And ask him polite, 'cause anyone who doesn't think he's a hero is gonna have to answer to me!Pic related, all smiles, another happy ending.
tl;dr
>Brawn gave Perceptor a hard time about not being as valuable or courageous, so there's precedent for bullying - not insane to imagine Perceptor was sometimes doubtful or bummed out>Mirage was distrusted by I think Cliffjumper in one episode or other>distrust/infighting is occasional but not unprecedented in G1>Perceptor IS a little weird, like in the movie>Optimus is a team dad who respects everyone kindlyNot the worst or most unwarranted statement to give a movie cast member. (why's this one season 2 guy so prominent in the movie? Only other main non-movie Autobots were Jazz, Bee, Blaster, and Dinos iirc) The only alternatives would be Grimlock or Blurr anyway. But yeah it's nice!
