>>7548848The only reason that I can think of is that scalpers give the illusion of the toys being valuable and having high demand. Otherwise they're unnecessary middlemen that just piss everyone off by trying to sell the toys for 10x return on investment.
I can understand why some people are doing it with Wave 3s/4s since the distribution is messed up and only in some locations with a small markup to make it worth their time or to pay for shipping, but goddamn some of the diamond scalpers are being absurd. Funnily enough I managed to get a diamond through a direct order at a local Wal-Mart, so I bet that some scalpers are getting their diamonds without even hunting for them since some websites are just directly listing the products online.
