Hasbro execs just consider their company the Mr. Potato Head company. Stockholders are a bunch of old daytraders who just have Hasbro as one of hundreds of holdings. These people want the profits they get from selling a million toddler toys produced for 10 cents as $10, than the profits they get for selling 30,000 units of a $400 toy that costs ~150 to make from production, testing, development, etc.
Also while Bandai has had more expensive toys, I don't think they've put out anything to the scale of the sail barge or Galactus.
