Mid-to-late '80s to the start of the '00s, there's quite a few kits that fit together well with good detail. Whenever I see an AMT kit that looks interesting, I check Scalemates for the history of it – if it wasn't tooled in that window, I don't even consider it.
Nowadays, AMT sticks to reissues of old crap for the nostalgic boomer, with the occasional reissue of a kit from that short moment they made some good stuff.
The picture sucks, but I was drunk when taking it, and I'm not at home now. They '57 Chrysler 300C was one of those kits they created in the '90s.
