It was syndicated when I was young so I did get to watch quite a bit of it, but it was only really entertaining during the fighting scenes. All of the human element was like watching Boy Meets World. But I did watch it a lot more than VR Troopers, which was the worst adaptation of the era imo.The toys were incredible though, a mix between original Playmates figures and imported Gridman pieces. I used to have a gun with a dragon head that would make the most obnoxious machine gun sound when you pulled the trigger and I remember my dad threatening to throw it away multiple times because I was annoying the shit out of him with how often I was running around the house having adventures with it.
