>>11016502Have you ever looked at the way hands hold swords when in motion? Both hands are not locked side by side with a full grip on the sword on a sword when in the positions in those photos. Take a look at some medieval fencing manuals for examples. Sword grips are fluid, and often loose if you look at a single moment in time.
When the original ML figures were released, alternate hands weren't a part of the offering, but in light of what WAS available, those photos show quite nicely what the 1.0 body is cable of. It's not perfect, but it's decent. They've come a long way since then.
As a side note, in the first one you pointed out, the hand is simply making contact to prevent anything catching as the sword is drawn, it's not meant to be gripping the blade, so I'm not sure what you're trying to communicate by highlighting it.
