Package arrived at fucknut's house today, I called him after it was delivered and was met with the reveal that the package had busted open during transit and half of the set's pieces were gone. It was the 06 Batcave. He didn't bag the parts or put any kind of bubble wrap so they were all rattling around loose in the box, and when it busted open they all got out. He was reluctant to give me my money back, saying that it simply wasn't possible because he had already spent it. I had to threaten to open a paypal case with him and somehow it got in his head that he would be arrested if he didn't give it back, so I waited nearly 2 hours on the phone while he begged his mom to help him and give me my money back. My refund is now pending and I doubt I will be able to get the set elsewhere unfortunately because it's like $500+ complete.
Poor bastard asked me if there was any way for him to get the worth of the package from UPS and I asked him if he had put insurance on the box. He said he only put $75 worth on the box because he didn't want to pay more for shipping. Told him he could only get $75, and I couldn't really help him. I can't help but almost feel bad for the fucker, his sheer incompetence lead to both of us getting burned in the end, but at least I will walk away with my money back, perhaps I can save up or find another deal. At least my mom was being thoughtful when she found the set.
