It's not the people buying the actual comic books at comic book stores and their numbers supposedly haven't changed much in the past 15 years (whose market obviously suffers from no one dying or giving up on comics, because comic book fans are robots, btw).
Trades have become such an important part sales numbers that the comic makers began writing for trades more than a while ago.
So who's buying trades, if not normies and newbies?
