I like Dragon Ball from beginning to end and even then I'm guilty of being someone who didn't support the DB line. When it comes to figures specifically and not just for DB but other series too, I prefer to have appearances near the end of the series. When I look at the shelf I want to see versions of the characters that have gone through their developments and the various events of the series. I'm not sure if this is a common mentality but I'm guessing there's at least some people that collect this way.
Regarding the android talk, I hope we one day get her look without the RR jacket. I see her as one of the good guys so her first appearance look isn't really the one I'd want to stand around with the main cast.
