>>8647602Kids don't even care about toys
I worked at Toys R Us back in 2014 before it was taken away forever from America. Worked Tuesday (Stock room) and Thursday, Friday, Saturday and if we did see kids they were under 5-6. A majority of our costumers were men over 25 and if we did get kids ages 7-13 or teenagers it was straight to the R-Zone (video game section) looking for Amiibos or if we had a copy of a game that Gamestop didn't have in stock.
Toys today are just for men born between 1971-1999, the last of that era. Otherwise it's a person born into an internet and iphone world and they don't really care about it.
It's another thing I saw working at Toys R Us, the Hot Wheels collectors. They were all men in their late 40s or higher. That was their "toys" and us "20-30 somethings" don't care or connection with that generation before us.
Toys will always been around, but it will shrink to the point that one day we will be that guy in his 50s looking for stuff while video games and digital stuff rule the aisles.
