>>9989491I can understand that and I wish they at least picked out all the details in colour (I don't even care about heavy shading, but the CSM is really cheap with paint), however given they're not very expensive for what you get and they're pretty heavily marketed at customizers/hobbyists I'm OK with it, and whilst slightly pricier "premium paint" versions would be cool I'd be happy sticking with the regulars and painting them up. Aside from anything else paint has never been McFarlane's strong suit (even his best things are in hindsight a bit rough and rely on a lot of weathering and noise/contrast to disguise the sloppier bits) so honestly I'm cool with doing it myself. Like, for the prices I'm paying I'm happy getting a blank canvas I can do a better job on than the factories would for double the price.
That weird all-grey bout of DC figures was weird though, not sure what happened there. Not sure they even have the easy disassembly of the 40K toys!
