The proportions are baloony and goofy as hell, just like the original show, in a really charming way. You just can't find anything like this anymore. Even the Ver. A.N.I.M.E. Robot Damashiis, which were supposed to be based on the original anime designs, look far too safe and boring. This is really your only choice.
Unfortunately, it takes a shitload of relatively high-level work to get them decent. Approach with caution, especially since you're new.
