I only have the devy set but I don't mind the complexity too much, everything is still straightforward and intuitive enough that I was able to figure out the transformations without any instructions, getting long haul and hook together still sucks after multiple combinations though.
The plastic flashing definitely sucks but I do have to credit where it's due, that shit is truly durable. I accidentally glued mixmasters chest solid trying to thicken the slider like a retard, and I muscled the FUCK out of that thin sheet of plastic to break the bond, with absolutely no visible damage or anything
