>>11003411You can make the same argument with manga. You can find plenty of super hero comics and a good amount of other types of comics. You can find plenty of shonen fighting manga, and a good amount of other types of manga. You can cherry pick both mediums.
Like pic related is one of my favorite manga. I don't see how a manga about unhealthy mythical women who learn about healthy habits to get them back to their fantasy world is a derivative story.
