I hunted down the entire first set that JL put out back in 1998, and I've still got them all, MOC, in storage at my parents. I loved the unique cart art and collectors cards for each car, it made them feel special, which was probably why I resisted opening them. Been picking up some others to open recently, very much enjoying them. Definitely love the Lotus and the V8 Vantage. Still mad the BMW 750i is forgotten, though.
