The other space shuttle toy I had wanted prior to that was the early 90's LEGO set which was huge and prohibitively expensive, so I had assumed this would be the same. Then I learned it was a basic, got him along with eventually his mates and was introduced to the wonderful world of combiners.
RID Ruination is a great set, he really is. Bruticus is also good, but it's hard to find one in good playable condition and his individual guns don't combine.
