Ive always been casually interested in the glacialord set but finally decided to check them out, got 3 of them for under $20 each off bbts on a whim
Pretty cute stuff, ive never been interested in a g1 collection but these make a great stand alone set.
It hurt me cutting open the little minifigs, i wish they had been packed with slide off card back, im normally not one to care about boxes but with this set the packaging is part of the appeal
Applying the stickers was a nice nostalgic touch. Some of the joints on these things are intense, not sure if this was always the case of just due to how long theyve been in boxes, but it makes me nervous for repeated transformations. Especially on the mini figs's knees.
I think the animal modes here are my favourite
I don't understand the machinations behind the scenes of 3p companies but from what i understand fansproject is basically dead and fans hobby has some form of connection to them? If true I would absolutely buy the fuck out of a modern scale glacialord set from fanshobby, but most likely this is all that ever will be of the team, and i appreciate them for what they are
