>>8241743I don't disagree, all the kits are possible for someone to build for the first time. But I think you might be looking at it retrospective skill wise. Most people new to the hobby aren't even going to attempt the waterslides, maybe even leave the stickers, and will find cleaning up lots of small fragile 1/144 parts more difficult than doing the average MG, although im surprised if thats the difference in part count. My opinion is pretty subjective tho. I 'run' a Gundam club at my University so I have a pretty poor standard for competency, I generally get people to buy a simple MG kit, and then just let them sticker and panel line as a cheap, fast and easy 'upgrade' from the base kit, if they're still keen I help them paint and decal. I also just built both the RG Saz and Shin and MG Ver.Ka Saz and Shin. The RG waterslides took so long it's tainted my viewpoint.
