>>6411199Agreed, but it's not just the variant dresses that I admire, but the quality, and detail on those older dolls would never be seen on current classic Disney Store dolls. I really wonder what their price point used to be.
I know that in the late 90s Disney Store used to sell Mattel dolls because that's where I bought my light up necklaces Kida doll from Atlantis. I remember picking up a 12" Mattel Ursula doll at the Disney Store in the late 90s, and she was priced at $99.99.
I don't know when exactly Disney Store started producing their own dolls, but I remember seeing them in 2007, and just assumed they were expensive because everything at the Disney Store used to be ultra expensive back in the day. What I do know for sure is that in 2010 classic dolls were priced at $12.50 which jumped to $14.50 around 2012. Than in late 2013 Frozen dolls came out, which introduced the current $16.95 price point. Shortly after that Disney Store reduced the quality, and the accessories of the Frozen dolls, but kept them at $16.95. A few months later all classic dolls jumped to $16.95.
