>>6727965The wide range of colour matched paints is a benefit of Zero Paints, if you ring them up they'll mix almost anything up for you. Might as well stick to one paint system. I think Gravity colours do something very similar in the US
>>6728299I sand mould lines with 600 grit and then do a once over with 1000 before primer. Between each coat of primer I wetsand with 2000. This is particularly important for a gloss clearcoat as it improves in shine the smoother the paint. To polish the clearcoat I have a set of micromesh pads, and the set of 3 Tamiya compounds (course, fine and finish). Typically fine and finishing compound are as much is needed. I've not painted a car in Tamiya acrylic, but I've read the best results come from low psi however you are limited by the colour choice. You could always decant the paint from a Tamiya spray can if you would prefer to shoot it through an airbrush. Should be fine without thinner through an airbrush 0.3 or larger. I use an Iwata Revolution 0.5mm, this is particularly useful as the paints I use are considered "heavy"
