>>8037406Hopefully I don't front load you with too much info, but tl;dr:
Researching, and asking questions- ask us anything. (or at least this anon)
Keep info on your doll and her origins/age/measurements.
>UCanaanAnother anon can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they're recasts because no legitimate company I can think of would sell a 1/3 doll for 90$. ( 60 cm or 2 foot tall )
>RecastsSo recasts are bootlegs, copy of another sculptor's work where they just make a cast of the original doll and then sell it at an undercutting price.
>What does owning a recast meanThey can get you excluded in markets and communities, but you wouldn't be the only owner of recasts, of course. There's a reason a bootlegger had enough money to steal chinese copyrights from other companies.
>I have a recast what do
If you really want to participate in legitimate spaces, literally never post them, anything about them, or acknowledge they exist.
I really recommend a different username in recast spaces from any legit spaces since, you are in fact buying counterfeit goods that harm artists you like.
>What doll should I get?Up to you. I recommend though, that you get one you think is special and pretty. They're a luxury, of course, so you want to enjoy it to the fullest. And they should, unless you sell them, be with you for years and years to come, and unlike consoles they don't lose support / 'games' after so many years.
>Have a cool picture, not my doll.
