at least with imports i can kinda not deal with it since in japan and europe they go by "Sylvanian Families". i'm not really interested in those because even though they're essentially the same figure, they box they come in gives the characters different names and descriptions depending on the region, and the japanese ones I can't even read.
It might seem silly but if I stick to buying only calico critters, i can always refer to their box for a canonical detailed description of them, rather than mixing up and having different names/descriptions for the same characters based on EU or NA boxes.
and i wish i could post more but i can't see any threads i could post them in; they aren't custom, they aren't 1/12 or 1/8, marvel, dc, anime, etc. oh well
