I believe there's a huge issue with modern Lego: you get so much more pieces but they are so specialized for tiny specific details of the build they are from that it's a struggle to be able to turn them into something else, there's little to no good significant structural all purpose elements you can readily repurpose. Why is nobody calling this out? Do kids no longer take sets apart to make their own shit? Are adult fans who want scale models to blame? Just thinking about this is making me depressed
