The shoes can just have their stuffing readjusted to make them circular and one can just sew more fabric on top of the tie. The nice thing about cheap/bootleg ones is that while they may have flaws, you have more freedom to fix them or make other changes to them. Personally I would feel extremely uncomfortable trying to do any custom work an a very expensive plush so I'd just have to live with whatever flaws it has and it'd probably just sit unused. The flaws of a bootleg plush make it more approachable and easier to connect with. Yeah she may look a little goofy but when I hug her tight, I don't have to subconsciously worry about damaging something that cost hundreds of dollars. Ultimately we have two different philosophies on plushies. I take joy in their softness and simple cuteness while you prefer visual perfectionism. All that matters is my way makes me happy.
