Yamaguchi has his share of fans too. And don't forget in terms of managing his time for better things, Kaiyodo has also made him make a bunch of weird Evas that no surprise performed badly. There is still one more left of the ANIMA Eva and who knows what's happening after that.
So they do have Yamaguchi do the low production niche stuff already, why is it hard to think they might do something better known like Nagai Go IP's. For Mazinger or Getter 1 specifically, differentiation from competitors is possible too, make them that THICC style like Ishikawa art. Yamaguchi can make them poseable just as he did with the beefy humanoid AY. And there are characters that rarely get figures that might have enough demand. All those alternate configurations of various Getters, Sidekicks of Mazinger Series like the fembots and Boss Borot. So I think they can get around the competition problem.
