The original is accurate to the general proportions of his first appearance, but it's overall a rather sloppy rendition that doesn't match either the manga or anime's style. The new figure takes a lot of liberties and is very much the kind of style you'd seen in a cinematic redux of classic scenes, but it's overall better engineered so who's going to complain?
