>>10833561>so you'd be polishing the primer only and not the main coatFor vallejo metal coat, yes this is what i do. If you polish VMC topcoat it more or less ruins it. If you lay it on rough primer it looks like pic rel, less shiny and more like corroded aluminium.
For gloss finishes like on car paintwork, youre gonna be polishing the top coat only like you would on a real car, and you need to use something stronger like lacquer, as acrylics will tend to get gummy and ball up if you go hard on the polishing.
