>>5895992>So you have at least one SH Figuarts or just watch pics?Of course i do, but it's limited to cartoon figures like DBZ ones, because I'm disappointed with the sculpting and paint for the realistic figures.
And unlike most of /toy/, I can buy almost all of the figures talked about here in person. So i can actually see most toys with my own eyes and see details a camera, lighting, and/or angle of a picture won't show. Plus, you know, actual depth.
> the details in the faces are very good and not just paint.I can't say I'm a fan of him, so i really can't say anything about the sculpt. However, the "paint" is ugly. It's not even paint, it's just a grainy print job. Collector toys shouldnt look so low quality and most collector toys have paint jobs to reflect the higher quality their prices command.
Toys like these have shading, texturing, and other paint details that dont look like they came out of a newspaper. It's a "solid" real look. When figures don't have solid paint applications, like print jobs found on the Figuarts, they get shat on (see Icons Superman for a good example when fanboys don't circle the wagons to defend mediocrity).
And as i mentioned before, i really have nothing negative to say about the Mace Windu, because his dark skin makes the grainy print job hard to see. It blends in. Plus, the sculpt actually looks like Jackson.
