>>5877562>>5877568I'm still alive, and so is the guy I was in contact with.
Our original plan had been for him to recast some GKs himself and then to sell those, completed, to people however they wished, and then to send the kit to GK-M for further recasting, however he cannot recast the kit himself for a medley of reasons, namely cost and effort required. We're talking something like 5-6 hours for one full recast.
With this in mind we decided instead it might be a good idea to send the kit directly to GK-M instead. and then to channel GK-M orders though him in order to save on shipping, hopefully get a nice discount for the sake of a large number of orders, and also to do assembly line painting for ease of distribution's sake. In this way everyone wins; the kit is distributed futher to GK builders whilst at the same time daibadi can get the GK completed without having to do as much work.
My main concerns with this would be how much money for painter anon could recoup for himself, but this depends on how many people'd be buying.
Currently I'm emailing GK-M on the subject of mailing the kit to them as well as waiting on some pictures from the guy of another kit he's working on, which can be used to show people the quality of the models they'd be able to get. Last e-mail from the guy was yesterday, and the last e-mail I got from GK-M was also yesterday at 11:40 AM, so now I'm waiting on them to reply, because I can't do anything, and I don't think you guys'd want to either, without an idea of what work can be done or mailing addresses to send stuff to.
Sorry to keep you guys waiting. I didn't want to post updates mainly because there really isn't much to write about regarding it; a lot of the e-mails between me and recaster anon were just planning, and unluckily we still had and have our lives to attend to. I felt like updates would be doing something like building hype for nothing.
I still want to get the kit out there, but things happen. Fingers crossed!
