More often than not figma sell out quickly, start going up in price right away and then getting a replacement becomes much more difficult. Max Factory isn't going to give you a replacement if you get a crap paint job unless it's totally botched.
Out of all the double or triples i've bought over the years very few of these figma have been identical to one another. There has always been at least one with some kind of QC flaw that made me glad I ordered more than one to create a "perfect" release. Then I either kept the other for spare parts or sold it for a profit depending on if the QC issue was big or not.
