>>7879041I don't know if it's just random chance and the three-pack being so popular that everyone has scrutinized them the most, but it really does feel like they've been the most rife with QC issues this year. I too passed up a Gamestop threepack partially because Jean Grey's normal head had such badly misaligned paint and splotches that it was visibly bad from a distance. And then when I rolled the dice on getting one sight unseen from Pulse, it still had it's own problems, including Jean having a fucked-up leg sculpt that's also visible from a distance.

I liked him as a character, but he looked so inconsistently-designed and weird through a lot of the comics that I didn't expect a figure of him would end up having such a cohesive and natural-feeling final look. And on top of looking great, his articulation and balance are really great for a bulky character, he's huger than you'd expect and that makes it all the better that he's still big when he takes nice hunched-over and gargoyle-like beastial poses.
If they ever did a bigger-sized Sabertooth, I'd hope he'd end up something like this.
