I do know that HLJ requires EMS or some priority method shipping above a certain yen amount (15,000JPY, I think?) which can make shipping pricier than expected for someone used to SAL (like me, I've SAL-ed more than a few DX Chogokin valks, haha), though it's been a little while since they implemented that.

I think BBTS is a good store for domestically distributed toys (pile of loot option is rad and their customer service is fantastic), but RD exclusives are very rarely distributed domestically so BBTS is essentially acting as their own importer to stock those exclusives. To pay for that importing cost, BBTS will mark-up their import toys significantly, as you can see.
I'm certain you can get a better price by waiting for Mandarake!
