>>6307495>>6307548>>6308270Well what I'm planning isn't as ambitious as you all seem to think honestly. I have a Soom Shale and I want to replace literally just the actual hoof piece. Not the whole leg or anything. Not my pic but you can see the clear 'nail' of the hoof is a separate piece almost like a plug, that's all I'm planning to do. Which is why I'm mildly worried about recast issue, because its going to come out near identical to the original anyway, just with some more detail on the bottom and in a clearer shiny resin with glitter or something inside. It fits pretty precisely into the cup under the feathers and I'm not planning to sculpt my own version of that at all, cus there's no way I'd be able to color match that with how much the ankle rubs.
