>>7208643Unfortunately I don’t receive much info on unreleased dinos, just package and product testing, so no top secret leaks. The Spino while incredible had the most QC issues, warped jaws(to either the left or right upper attachment showing a large gap, broken mouth opening mechanism, paint and glue issues on the sail, loose internal leg-stop mechanisms, loose internal tail attachment point.
My personal thoughts on the Spino(not a official observation) is that Target put added pressure on Mattel to get the Legacy Collection Spino out as fast as possible but did an about face when the issues were cropping up on product straight from the box. Now Mattel is not sending anymore to Target until the internal retooling and other small issues are complete. It’s a complete mess up on both parties which is why neither is saying much at the moment.
and just a side note, for those out there wondering, the Legacy T-Rex and Legacy Spino are the ones to scale to each other, not the Thrash and Throw T-Rex. I wish I had some juicy tidbits about what’s being considered for late 2019 and into 2020 line-up, but I don’t know anything. Just know Mattel hears you and watches discussions on the JW line. Keep voicing your complaints, compliments and concerns. They want to give you quality products and make money doing so. The JW line of toys is one of the most lucrative at the moment but also one of the most costly to design and produce. Ultimately I would just like to say have hope but try to be patient, there’s still another movie coming and you can bet there’ll be a blitz to get all kinds of new product to the consumer.
