I've never really been into Lego, so I don't know how this works, but I went to the Lego store to buy a gift for a friend of mine, and I bought that Super Mario World Mario and Yoshi that looks just like the game sprite, and I guess does the walk cycle when you turn the crank.
Anyway, the Christmas plans fell through, and I thought about returning it, but I guess I'll hang onto it. My question now is what do I do with it. My two options right now are:
1) Open it up, build it, and use it as a wall display in my arcade room
or
2) Leave it in the box, set it in the back of my closet, forget that it exists, and wait for it to appreciate in value.
I guess it really depends on how much the value of these things go up when they get discontinued. Would it be worth it to store it away, or is the value appretiation negligible enough to say "screw it" and open it up? I'm kind of fine either way at the moment.
