>>7068827>>7068834Let’s say my theoretical summation about NECA only releasing villains at retail isn’t correct and they are able to release figures of the Turtles, but part of the license with Playmates deems that the figures need to be some type of variation so that the previous releases remain convention exclusives as part of the original deal between them. There’s an easy, creative loophole I think they could get away with that would satisfy such a requirement, while still making fans happy.
Remember how in options menu for the home release of Turtles in Time how there was a Color Mode where you could switch between “Animation” and “Comic” shades?
Just release the Turtles with the coloring of the cartoon exclusive figures, but the pixel paint deco of the Turtles in Time exclusives. Becomes a unique release that is still technically different from both exclusives while retaining the aspects of both at the same time.
