After cleaning off the rails and all electrical points in the Santa Fe F9 locomotive, it ran incredibly well. I was surprised, especially that such an old locomotive ran so smoothly at low speeds. Only one of the transformers I looked at today still worked, the TYCO one. A bit of part removal was required on the wheel frames, due to them drooping too low and lifting the wheels off the track. A bit of filing down awas all it needed, so that's good. Most importantly, the track conducts well in all places and the transformer still puts out roughly 18.5V, sensitive enough that realistic acceleration is possible. Lights on the engine work as well.lll
