The new body is slightly thicker in the torso, yet shorter in length. The hips are more pronounced, with the leg hole noticeably lower. This causes the legs to not be able to bend up quite as high as compared to the old doll body. No high kicks allowed for reboot dolls! Another restriction in the hips & legs is that the legs cannot do a leg spit as wide as the old dolls. But on the bright side, the new hip sculpt does give the dolls a better defined pair of buttocks. And speaking of perversion, the molded on panties now sport the MH skull logo pattern as opposed to the old’s diamond pattern.
To make up for the shortened torso, the thighs are slightly longer. You can’t see it in the pic, but the thighs & calves are noticeably thicker in profile. The knees are sculpted more realistically in the reboot body, making the joint less noticeable than the knock-kneed older sculpt. But the most surprising new feature is in the back of the knees, where the thigh’s knee well is much deeper in the reboot body. This removes the ability for the knee joint to side-to-side as opposed to the older doll’s knees. Read the below post as for my theory for this deliberate removal of articulation.
