My take on bayformers designs is simple; I collect toys, if I like a Bayformers design I'll buy it. When the movie designs are really different from g1, they have a unique niche in my collection. When they're just the G1 designs but ore detailed, I'm less likely to buy them, because I already have a bunch of G1 designs. I don't want G1 Optimus: some more lines version. I will buy movie 1-3 Optimus because its a nice twist on the classic design. But as cool as the Cybertronian BB movie stuff is, I keep hesitating on buying yet another Soundwave or Optimus.
I even liked the inaccurate Movie 1 stuff because the blockier interpretations of the designs were cool, too
