Hello Anons.
I got my Neca 2019 a few days ago. I went through the different ones at Target to get the one that had the least fucked paint job.
In any case, his legs in particular can move very well. Able to get this guy into lots of cool poses.
Now, the downside is, I can't get him into any of the movie poses. As an example, I was attempting to get him into the pose where he and Ghidorah first stare each other down on that wide shot in the Arctic. Simply not possible, because despite the fact there is clearly a ball join that connects his upper body to his lower, all you can do is move it left and right, not up and dow. So Godzilla cannot hunch down, or puff up his chest so to speak.
Now while his legs can move a lot, the issue I have with him and a lot of other Godzilla figures in general is whenever you move their thighs, they always move out to the left or the right, which makes dynamic poses hard to do. Wouldnt be as hard if the lower legs and feet were able to be moved a lot more, but they simply aren't. So cool battle poses are limited.
I really think they need to try some new engineering next time. Even if we get some gaps and some pieces are smaller than others (such as Godzilla's upper half so it can slide in and out of the lower half to look up or down) I would be okay with it.
