>TransformersI started getting into it ever since Cybertron. I didn't care for G1 despite being born into it, but Cybertron is where I recognized a more appealing toy design and I became part of the fandom. But I feel like ever since Animated, i was introduced to ideas of potential. Like some guy can draw any wonky design they want and still make it into a toy despite a monkey's paw worth of issues. I would be into it as far as RiD2015, where they dropped replaced the humanoid form with an animal one for once. But the execution fell short, not only losing show-accuracy but also varied design choices for articulation. And again, as an anti-G1 guy, there's a lot of focus on designs/characters for that that I'm just unenthused for that whole mess. Like where are all the tributes to RiD2015 and Beast Machines even? Then, there are the
>movie toyswhere we constantly get ugly, jarring renditions of long-known characters, and the endless shilling of Bumblebee for some reason. Sure, I still own a few diamonds in that rough but my point stands. And now we have Legacy, which pays tribute to previous, recent lines. But then we have Square Bulkhead, Dumpy Prime Arcee, a less prowly Animated Prowl, and a WFC Bumblebee that still looks worse than the old version.
So yeah, Hasbro's not a bad company. It's just that no one is attempting to overthrow them with anything better and we just accept that they exist as the more dominant company because they're still being fnded enough, and i'm just another guy with tastes so particular that it ruins my view of them. On the bright side, because I think most of their toys suck, I have less money to waste
